Volume Index of Wholesale & Retail Trade First Quarter 2022
The volume index of Wholesale & Retail Trade increased by 3.9 per cent as compared to the same quarter last year. This increase was attributed to the Motor Vehicles sub-sector with 8.8 per cent growth. This was followed by Retail Trade and Wholesale Trade at 5.1 per cent and 1.2 per cent, respectively.
Within the same period, the seasonally adjusted volume index of Wholesale & Retail Trade went up 5.2 per cent against the fourth quarter of 2021.
