The sales value of Wholesale & Retail Trade rose +5.6%
to record RM110.6 billion in September 2019 from a year earlier. Retail Trade
outperformed the other subsectors with 7.2% growth followed by Wholesale Trade
of 4.7%.
Volume index of Wholesale & Retail Trade increased +6% to 130 points as against the same month a year ago. The increment was supported by Retail Trade (7.4%). Meanwhile, the seasonally adjusted volume index slipped 3.6% over the preceding month.
