Volume Index of Services, Q4 2019

Volume Index of Services recorded a growth of 6.4% to 133.2 points in fourth quarter of 2019 as compared to the same quarter of the previous year. overall 2019, this index registered an increase of 6.4% to 128.9 points as compared to 7.3% (121.1 points) in 2018.

The main contributors to the increase of Services sector in the fourth quarter of 2019 were stimulated by Wholesale & retail Trade, Food & Beverages and Accommodation segment and Business Services and Finance segment which shows an increase of 6.4% respectively. This is followed by Information & Communication and Transportation & Storage segment and Other Services segment which posted an increase of 6.5% respectively.

Seasonally adjusted volume index of this sector went up 1.1% to 132.0 points as compared to the previous quarter.
